About Berriew -

Berriew is a small village situated in Powys, Wales, United Kingdom. It is located on the banks of the River Rhiw, which flows through the village. Berriew has a rich history, with evidence of human settlement dating back to the Bronze Age. In the past, it was an important trading center with a thriving wool industry. 

Today, Berriew is a picturesque village with a population of around 1,000 people. It is known for its beautiful countryside, which attracts visitors who enjoy hiking and cycling. The village has a number of historic buildings, including St. Beuno's Church, which dates back to the 14th century, and the Old School House, which is now a museum. 

Berriew is also home to a number of local businesses, including shops, pubs, and restaurants. The village hosts a number of community events throughout the year, including a summer carnival and a Christmas market. Overall, Berriew is a charming and peaceful place to visit, with plenty of history and natural beauty to explore.
